efsta System
The efsta system serves as middleware to fulfill country specific fiscal requirements for POS systems using a unified interface. To achieve this, the cash register application submits standardized transaction data to the EFR (Electronic Fiscal Register) service, where in-turn the EFR handles the data appropriately according to the country specific fiscal regulations, such as:
- automated reporting/communication with fiscal authorities
- providing a fiscal signature/response
- providing offline fiscal buffering and archiving
- encrypting and chaining transaction data to prevent manipulation (audit-proof)
- controlling and communicating with different cloud and hardware based fiscal devices
Furthermore, the EFR offers a gateway function to the efsta Cloud, where the transactions are archived, tax audit files may be created/exported, and the efsta digital receipt (Simple and Smart Bill) can be managed and designed. The efsta portal also provides maintenance, update and administration functionalities for managing your efsta system and your fiscal compliance.
In addition to the core EFR (fiscalization compliance) component, efsta also provides the following add-on features:
- Digital Receipt (efsta Simple and Smart Bill)
- E-invoicing compliance (B2B and/or B2G): currently in Italy and Germany
- 3rd party integrations: DATEV (DE)
